Umber

Terms of use

Last updated 13 October 2026

These terms apply to the Umber app, developed by Aneest Studio (“we”). By using Umber you agree to them. They sit alongside the terms of the store you got it from: on iPhone and iPad, Apple’s standard licence agreement; on Android, the Google Play terms. If they disagree about a purchase, the store’s terms win.

Using Umber

Umber is free to use, with Umber Pro as an optional extra. You may use it for your own, non-commercial purposes. Please don’t copy, reverse-engineer or resell the app.

Umber Pro

Not medical advice

Umber plays sounds for relaxing, focusing and winding down. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you have trouble sleeping or with your hearing, talk to a doctor.

Please listen at a comfortable volume, especially with headphones and for long periods, and don’t use Umber where you need to hear what is around you.

Changes and availability

We may change, add or remove features over time. If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page; if the change is significant, we’ll say so in the app.

Liability

Umber is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply to the operator of Umber, without regard to conflict of law principles. Nothing in them limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law where you live. If a part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
